Twenty Ninth Street United Methodist Church
We are Twenty-Ninth Street United Methodist Church, located on the corner of Twenty-Ninth and Derry Streets in Harrisburg.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to come join us in an act of worship, the work of the people of God.

When worshipping with us, all we ask is for you to bring all that you are: your strengths, your weaknesses, your fears and your hopes. Because God chose to become human in Christ Jesus, our human concerns are important. Because God is love, God wants us to shed the light of truth upon our lives, to draw us into that love and enrich us in understanding, to encourage us by hope and to empower us to serve others. Because God acts through our corporate as well as our private lives, each of us takes an active part in hearing the Word, reciting prayers, singing hymns and sharing in the fellowship of the gathering of the people of God.

A warm welcome is extended to ALL guests and newcomers. We hope that by joining us in worship, you will catch something of the spirit of devotion and celebration which characterizes our congregation and that you will return to worship with us often.

Our worship service is on the internet!
Friends and members of Twenty-Ninth Street Church know that our morning worship service is recorded and then broadcast on WMSS FM radio at 2PM every Sunday. This has been a service provided by the radio station for many years, and we frequently receive positive comments from members and friends who listen to the service on the radio when they are unable to attend the worship service. But what happens when you are out of the WMSS listening area? No reception - No worship service.

Did you know that you can also hear the service by connecting to wmssfm.com on your computer? The radio station provides live streaming via the internet.

Give the internet a try on your next trip away from the Harrisburg area or if you live in an area where the radio reception is limited. You can go to wmssfm.com and click on the "listen live" tab on the top of the menu bar. Then by clicking on "Main Stream" on the middle of the screen, you will connect to WMSS FM from anywhere there is internet access.
